The Retreat Golf Club is a Championship 9 Hole Public Golf Course located 25 miles west of Duluth on Highway 2. Built into the northland woods with the Mirbat Creek winding through the property, The Retreat is considered to be the best 9-hole golf course in Minnesota.
Last fall, several improvements were completed, including the addition of four new sand bunkers, three new tees, several mounds and two new ponds. Plus, several areas were cleared to improve the pace of play.
All the renovations work was recommended by Jeff Brauer, world-class golf designer of both courses at Giant’s Ridge, plus the new Wilderness course in Tower, Minnesota. Now that the renovations work has been completed, the owners would like to offer a great golf special to get new golfers out to enjoy it.
